Fourth meeting of the Jubilee 2025 coordination committee held at Palazzo Chigi
The fourth meeting of the coordination committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held at Palazzo Chigi today, chaired by Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano. The Mayor of Rome and the Government’s Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, opened the meeting, providing a progress update on procurement procedures and project timelines, also in light of the recently introduced simplification regulations.

President Meloni meets with a group of high school students from Sciacca in Sicily
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with a group of students from the "T. Fazello" high schools of Sciacca (AG), in Sicily. The head of the higher education institution in question, Giovanna Pisano, had sent a request for a meeting on behalf of the students of class IV B of the ‘Liceo artistico’ [high school specialising in art] and class IV of the ‘Liceo classico’ [high school specialising in humanities], who were visiting Rome accompanied by some of their teachers. During the meeting, students from the ‘Liceo artistico’ gave President Meloni a pair of ceramic angels they had made and decorated themselves.

A broad enabling law to structurally revolutionise the Italian tax system, fifty years on from the last overall reform, which dates back to the 1970s (enabling law no. 825 of 1971). Appreciation for President of the European Council’s words on migration
Palazzo Chigi expresses sincere appreciation for the words addressed to Italy by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, which are fully in line with the Italian Government’s actions in Europe for a better management of migration and the fight against migrant smuggling. Following the terrible tragedy in Cutro, the common commitment to an adequate European response to the complex phenomenon of migration makes implementation of the conclusions from the February European Council meeting all the more urgent.
