President Meloni visits Qatar

During her visit to the State of Qatar, President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, accompanied by Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, met with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, with whom she had in-depth discussions that ended with an official dinner. The meeting was an opportunity to strengthen the excellent bilateral relations and the personal relationship with the Head of the State of Qatar.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a long and cordial meeting today with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak. The meeting focused on preparations for the G20 Summit to be held tomorrow and Sunday, on the priority of continued support for Ukraine with a commitment to provide security guarantees, and on the urgent need to ensure an effective, global response to the major challenges of our societies, including artificial intelligence. The two Heads of Government also agreed on the need to look upon the joint efforts necessary for Africa’s development as a shared opportunity, also with respect to inhumane human trafficking that exploits migration flows.
